Clodagh Dunlop, 38, from Magherafelt in Co. Londonderry has been presented with a Life After Stroke Adult Courage Award by the Stroke Association after surviving a brain stem stroke which initially left her with locked-in syndrome. She was given her award by actors James Norton and Victoria Yeates, at a star studded ceremony in the Dorchester hotel in London on 1 November 2017.
Dawn Minker, 67, from the Isle of Wight has been presented with a Life After Stroke Courage Award by Rudolph Walker, Shobna Gulati and Sally Lindsay on behalf of the Stroke Association at a star-studded ceremony at the Dorchester hotel in London on 1 November 2017.
Richard Raynor, 36, from Oxford, has been presented with a Life After Stroke Award for Creative Arts on behalf of the Stroke Association by broadcaster Mike Bushell and comedian Marcus Birdman at a glittering ceremony at the Dorchester hotel in London.
Guilford resident Lucy Trafford has been awarded a Life After Stroke Award for fundraising over £130 000 for the Stroke Association. She was presented with her award by actor Rupert Graves and Baroness Brady at a glittering ceremony at the Dorchester Hotel in London on 1 November 2017.

Dr DavidHargroves, Clinical Lead for Stroke Medicine at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust, has been presented with a Life After Stroke Award for Professional Excellence on behalf of the Stroke Association by Sophie Thompson and Baroness Benjamin at the Dorchester Hotel in London.
Stroke survivor Amber Garland, 26, from Rainham, has been awarded a Life After Stroke Award for her volunteering work for the Stroke Association. Amber received her award from TV presenters Vogue Williams and Anna Richardson at the Dorchester Hotel in London on 1 November 2017.
TV presenter Gloria Hunniford, from Portadown has lent her support to the Stroke Association’s annual awareness month Make May Purple. During the month of May, the charity is urging everyone to go purple and raise vital funds, to show support for people who have been affected by stroke.
