Richard Wright and his family, from Aylesbury, will be Stepping out for Stroke at a fundraising walk in Kingsbury Square on the 16th May 2015, just over two years after his stroke. The local community is also supporting the walk with Sainsbury providing water and bananas and St Mary’s Church opening its doors and laying on refreshments for participants, friends and family.
Simon Batsman, 20, from Winchester in the South of England had a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA) otherwise known as a mini-stroke, in February 2013 and believes the FAST Test could have saved his life.
A new Expert Stroke Program is helping people from across Buckinghamshire to come to terms with stroke and re-build their lives. The six week course covers everything from understanding stroke to dealing with legal matters.
