The Stroke Association is encouraging people to make a pledge which counts, and take part in a 5k,10k or 15k Resolution Run on 13 March 2016 at Mote Park.
The event is one of 28 fundraising Resolution Runs taking place across the UK this spring. These runs provide the perfect motivation to get in shape after Christmas, while helping to conquer stroke.

Local stroke survivor Peter Groombridge from Dover has been presented with an Adult Courage Award sponsored by Vision Express, at a national award ceremony held in London. Peter received his award from Presenter and Journalist Anna Richardson.
A new Stroke Association Voluntary group has been launched in Dover.The group held its official launch in the Ark in Noah’s Ark road on the 7th May 2015.Stroke survivor Peter Groombridge from Shepherdswell decided to open a voluntary group with support from the Stroke Association after a stroke club in the town was closed down due to the sad death of the club’s Vice Chairperson Jean Henderson.
Two friends Linda Holland from Herne bay and Derek Dummer (Del) from Whitstabletook a massive leap on the 7th April 2015when they completed a skydive to raise funds for the Stroke Association. The pair were motivated to take on a major challenge after they saw the determination of their friend’s Dad, Fred Tugwell, who had a massive stroke last May.

The Stroke Association Carol concert on the 12th December 2014 will provide the perfect start to everyone’s Christmas celebrations. The Carol Concert, which will feature the Sainsbury’s Choir, recently seen on a hit TV Show, will take place at All Saint’s Church in Mill Street Maidstone.
